Wheel

Slowly but surely I am building a bike. I know it's not really exciting but here is the first wheel I spoked myself (or at least half of it - Adam did the other half while teaching me how). It still needs a little polishing and the hub needs a rebuild. Oh and that is a coaster brake hub so no crazy over-the-handlebars-while-trying-to-stop-the-petals for me. I am a man of leisure and luxury - I'll just kick back to stop.

The Bike (2)

I have a good feeling about this bike. I really think it is going to look great. I've started stripping it down for painting and expect to start painting the primer tomorrow. Just have some hand sanding to do. I also have a bunch of components to shine up. So far I am around $65 total cost (not including my hours), not to bad.

Here is the frame. I finally got it completely stripped and ready to be painted.

A New Bike

Well I am beginning a new project. I am going to attempt to build a fixed gear street bike. I'll document the process. Here is the beautiful new $15 Raleigh frame and me cutting off the old lock.
